Starting on Panel 5 (Canto 4)

The initial rough in of panel 5.

I've started working on my panel 5 of the Inferno last night.  I've decided to skip panel 4 (Charon) since I don't have the model for it at this time.  I met a really nice gentleman three years ago when I was being fitted for a suit.  He was an assistant to the tailor and he had such a unique face I thought he'd be perfect for one of my paintings in the future.  Fortunately, I found the card he gave me so I'm hopeful I can reconnect with him.  As for panel 5, all of my models were local.  You may recognize the model in the center is from my painting of St. Jerome and The Guitarist.  The one below him, playing Homer, is my model for The Confession.  The model in front of him is the same model I used for my painting of St. Sebastian Confronts Emperor Diocletian.   The title of this painting is Dante and Virgil Visit the Great Poets of Antiquity in Limbo.  This is a place where Dante puts the virtuous men of antiquity who were good men on earth but pre-dated the coming of Christ.  You may recognize it will have similar surroundings to my panel 2.
