Eric’s painting 2:00AM received an “Award of Excellence” and The Confession and Devotion received “Special Recognition” from the juror for exhibition Realism X at the Upstream People Gallery during the month of February. The juror stated:
“ERIC ARMUSIK of Hamburg, Pennsylvania has three very finely detailed realistic paintings in oil. “2:00 AM” is well developed with a strong play with the diagonal forming a diamond movement that is repeated in the male figure. The idea of an artist working into the morning hours can be understood by many artists. The painting “Devotion” also uses a kind of diamond orchestration with the female figure aglow amidst the darker interior surroundings. And the work “Confession” shows a special drama in the highly lit contrast in the face.”

Vynecrest Winery is set to release its 2006 Cherry DiVyne on October 7th & 8th with special artist label
Vynecrest Winery is excited to announce the release of its 2006 Cherry DiVyne on October 7th 2006. After last year’s vintage sold out in a record 5 months there has been an unprecedented anticipation awaiting this year’s release. The 2005 Cherry DiVyne won the Governor’s Cup awarded to the best fruit wine in the state of Pennsylvania. Cherry DiVyne (retail price $13.99) is a sweet, luscious and intense dessert style wine made from 100% PA Montmorency Sour Cherries. With a perfect balance of tartness and ripe sour cherry its a wine like no other.
To celebrate the release, Vynecrest has teamed up with artist Eric Armusik ( www.ericarmusik.com) to create a Special Edition Wine Label for the 2006 Cherry Divyne. The label is an exact replica of Eric’s Oil Painting “During the Storm” which is currently hanging in the Vynecrest Winery tasting room. The painting depicts John Landis, Vynecrest Winery winemaker, on the evening he came up with the idea to produce a hand crafted Cherry Wine three years ago.
On the Special release weekend of October 7th and 8th Vynecrest will be open from 11-5pm. Vynecrest will be pairing the 2006 Cherry DiVyne with Wilbur Dark Chocolate throughout the weekend. John Landis will be available all weekend to sign posters as well as bottles of the oil painting “During the Storm” and the artist Eric Armusik will be available on Sunday from 1-3 to sign posters and bottles as well. In addition, Vynecrest will also be giving away a free poster to anyone purchasing a case of Cherry DiVyne.
In the meantime, if anyone has any interest in receiving labels ahead of time, please contact Sam Landis as copies can be mailed out to you for use in any of your publications.
